What made the experience of listening to Quarter Share the most enjoyable?
The overall pacing of the story and lack of high drama that let you meet and learn about each of the characters on the ship in depth.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The lead Ish as he moves from a sheltered life of a teachers son to being on this own and having to make his own way.
What about Jeffrey Kafer’s performance did you like?
I enjoyed the subtle changes in voices and styles as the story progressed.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Several times Ish reflects back on fast things happen. He seems surprised by this as his lack of experience in the world shows.
Any additional comments?
Ish, Pip and Cookie have a great way of working together and it makes for some fun moments. There is a lot of light-hearted moments in the story. Yet the side goings on at the various docks adds to the interest. This is not just a story of a crew on a starship!
