Interesting start. interesting middle. but the end is just muddled, mindless, revenge. the main character has no valid reason for his choice of action. But he does it, just because. And his potential love interest says no, then takes him in after he’s done it. Totally stupid.
I get the feeling the author wrote the story with this ending just to be true to the gun-lore trope. I liked the main character all the way through until he threw away his morals for no good reason.
In my mind, this story is a fail.
