It felt a bit too much like a copycat character of Harry Dresden.
Lazarus is a young guy with strong powers but mostly untrained. He meets tough woman cop who distrusts but helps him. Author tries to use sarcasm but not very well done.
The narrator’s voice sounds too old and thin for a young guy, though I like him in other books.
The story itself isn’t bad, especially if you’ve not read The Dresden Files. Then you’d not see the similarities.
