Don’t get invested, just don’t, this series is definitely brought down to an extensive degree by the ending books, all suspense and investment in the opposition is thrown out the window, the real world is inconsequential, in fact this series should just be a fantasy setting with convenient rpg mechanics, the last book is so rushed it feels like the third or fourth book in a ten book series
