The book was great. It’s a fun story that entertains while at the same time not getting lost in the technology of space and the future. It’s about relationships and learning new things as well as exploring ones own thoughts and preconceptions. It’s the sort of story you can put in while on a family drive. This author has a lot of promise and I look forward to his other works.
The narration was just horrific. Did they hold a contest of grade-7 boys and decided to use his guy because he was more pathetic than the kids? My daughter reading tax codes has a broader emotional than he does. Just reading the words isn’t enough. Try adding a comma or some of the other punctuation. Perhaps he could look into reading bedtime stories – he could put people sleep very easily.
