When I found this book, and I don’t remember how I came across it, it was offered as a free download. With the idea of “you get what you pay for”, my expectations were low. I was very pleasantly surprised right away.

The main character, Zee, does something wrong but understandable and pays a price for it. This somehow launches him into this new world. It’s a pretty simple entry into the genre but works well. The characters are well written and developed, with ones you want to like and want to dislike; a well-rounded cast.

The narration kept me engaged and built the story instead of fighting it.

I’m not the most eloquent reviewer, but to sum this up, this is worth your credit or purchase and I’m looking forward to the second installment in the series.
