I always give a “star” rating to books, but very rarely write a review. The fact that I wrote this one tells you how much I enjoyed the series.
I started this series not knowing anything about it. At first I wasn’t sure I’d finish the first book… It isn’t thrilling; there is no “space opera” action, nor any deep drama. It’s more like a diary of the days, weeks and months of a man’s life, spanning more than 20 years. Yet as I continued to listen, I became inextricably involved in that life as the author wove small details and broad themes into a captivating tale with a satisfying conclusion.
I finished the series wishing for more, and knowing the story would stay with me forever.
