This story is less realistic than most other books of this nature. (1) People went barbaric overnight, which is too quickly to be believable.; (2) A group of little more than a dozen people are going to take on military bases and entrenched combatants…
And then the one guy who is described throughout the story as gay (but not specifically identified as such) turns out to be the coward and traitor. That’s just wrong.
