Liked it! Felt like a nice addition to a comfortable genre. Some nice unexpected turns kept it being from predictable, so I was excited about the characters.

Not sure what the narrator was thinking regarding his accents, though. His German dragons are Yiddish and his Korean grandmother is in shockingly poor taste. I liked the character but had to grind my teeth through her lines. He attempts “fantasy British” for the main prose and almost never manages a full sentence in either American or “fantasy British”.
