I was iffy about the first book. Felt there were quite a few problems but still found it an intriguing enough story to listen to this one. Overall I found it much more enjoyable. I still have issues with how the author constantly uses “he said, she said” when he could use other ways to convey who is speaking. A little more drawn out explanations and/or descriptions and I think this would have been even better. The author seems to struggle with using the narrator to describe something then have the characters talk about it (so telling not showing). However I am glad I stick with it and am looking forward to see what happens to the crew of Athena
