The protagonist is a bit of a one dimensional character who faces no real challenges after the initial setup establishing his character. When something does go wrong, it’s resolved by a handy Deus Ex Machina (usually literally by the AI). The bad guy is a rich kid, improbably evil. It’s a bit heavy handed on the corporations are bad/rich people are psychopaths angle, reading more like a peachy YA novel full of high school angst and an obvious love interest setup.
That said, it’s not the worst LitRPG out there, as far as adolescent wish fulfillment fantasies go.
