I’ve learned that authors who write on Royal Road or Patreon are “by seat of one’s pants” writers. This makes things happen pretty quickly in their stories and usually is great fun …in the beginning. Unfortunately, if you write like this you’ll inevitably create too many things to keep track of. You’ll need something exciting for your subscribers and without having time to really make a death worth anything, you’ll start killing off your characters like Walking Dead just to get that reaction. The death means nothing and thus the character means nothing retroactively. This happens in this book. This is supposedly a parody but really it’s just another litrpg from Royal Road. I truly love them at the start but the formula I just referred to is impossible to avoid and unfortunately a lot of other people love it.
