Mediocre story, stupid one-dimensional characters. I was actually hoping that one character WOULD die or at least spend many years behind bars … not a perpetrator, but a person of a moral compass so indifferent to the suffering of others as to make their career choice extremely questionable.
There is nothing interesting about bad writing. I just needed something to listen to while I was knitting. I kept listening, hoping to find something — anything! — redemptive enough to justify the time I’d already invested. No such luck.
This is a free book, but even so it was WAY too expensive. I just wasted 603 valuable minutes of the rest of my life. Don’t let this happen to you!
