This story world is interesting but excluded the depth other litrpg stories usually have. That may work for some if and if you enjoy Jeff Hays then this might be worth it. However the writing seems to not provide a lot of depth of emotion or personality for the narrators to work with.

The character building is simply that they tell you who they are and how they changed each time a large period of time elapsed. They talk about epic adventure and what skill they learned but barely any of the story is about that journey.

It failed to connect me with the characters on an emotional level. The motivations of characters would be interesting but no depth is added to their characters. The fights and strategies are very simplistic and solved deus ex machina with skills or ability they claim in the moment to be expert at but was never demonstrated or earned through actions in the story itself.

The premise of the story itself seems forced and there is really no story or background that addresses the circumstances of why it seems plausible, maybe that will be addressed at a later time.

I don’t think I’ll continue with this series but I think if EA Hooper story telling improves this might be a very interesting world.
