I bought this set because I enjoy the genre, and read some negative reviews about the biblical aspect of the novels. I am always drawn to apocalyptic series that include families, so went ahead and spent the credit. It was well worth it! I enjoyed the tie in to the book of Revelations, and how the Rapture is handled, which is highly debated and editorialized within the various denominations. This was very enjoyable and it was the first time that I had to take 5 minutes at the end of a series and sit in total silence, and contemplate the ending. This one is worth the credit and I hope the author follows through with the companion series. The only drawback I saw was my hope that there would be an eventual tie in between the 2 groups of characters.
