Reading in story telling format, delicately, honestly and with heart, If I Can’t Have You, is what any one with an interest in true crime is after. The horrific details are there. As they should be. And so is Susan’s voice. Will we now listen? Will be remember this story when a friend, coworker or even stranger speaks of those warning signs? Will we remember this case and be honest with our selves that the “unthinkable” happens? Will we protect the children who are unable to protect themselves?
This is a story that needs to be heard by all. Everyone needs to feel this heart ache and hurt. And feel the anger and frustration.
Because it’s real. And is not so rare as we would hope.
Thanks to the author for a job well done in giving the family and victims a voice.
