I tried, really tried, stick out the trilogy to the end. I got a couple of chapters into the second book and just could not take the propaganda the author was shoveling. I am in no way saying that the information that he put into the book is right or wrong, or that there was anything inappropriate. I think the author is extremely talented, his verbage is wonderful and varied, and he really knows how to set a scene. I am just saying that, for me, the beliefs of the author, obviously reflected in the characters, was just too much for me to take. I hope to read something else by this author that isn’t quite so politically polorizing.
