Joel Leslie has a gift and is an absolute treasure as a narrator. The very first chapter of this book was heavy and very emotional, and Joel’s performance had me crying. He emotes so well that my partner regularly asked me if I was okay while I was listening to this book because of my facial expressions.
And the gentle development of the relationship between Ethan and Clay was beautiful and warming. Experiencing Ethan’s recognition of his own self-worth and Clay’s journey in self-discovery was wonderful.
This story warmed my heart and this book will definitely be one I’ll revisit again and again.
