First I’ll start off with the narration. It was duet and that is one of my favorites and it was a solid 5 stars.
The story was a second chance romance and it starts off with us in the present for a brief chapter and then we go to their younger years. For me the chapters in the past were a little choppy and too long. Be prepared for a lot of OW drama. I think that’s what kept me from loving this book. The characters were likable even when they were not perfect. But when the hero basically allows another woman to come between him and the love of his life that’s where I draw the line. I like take charge heroes and Chase for me sadly wasn’t one of those. Overall I liked the book which is reflected in my 3 stars and would recommend if you like small town second chance romance and don’t mind OW drama.
