The Ministry for the Future is able to weave a multi-narrative story to bring to life big ideas to the near future realities / possibilities of climate change and life on Earth.

While some of the characters are at times thin and the plot jumps around the book does an incredible job putting disparate topics (climate, security, demographics, international relations, geo-engineering, cryptocurrency, monetary policy) into a coherent story arc.

If you are primarily interested in the inner worlds of people, this book isn’t the best. But if you are looking for a thought experiment that looks to the world 30-100 years out, this book was great.
