There are some good things about this novel but everything else is negative.
I’m trying not to give spoilers but please read cautiously.
A game designed by the best engineers in the world doesn’t have a counter for mages against close quarter combat killed it right at the start for me.
Even then I decided to give it a shot and read on and what counted for clever conversation and strategy was something like this (this is not from the novel but what it read like to me)
Husband: honey I did as we agreed I went to hospital please give me my reward.
Wife: What did the doctor say?
Husband: oh I didn’t get that far. Your words were go to hospital and I did so please give me my quest reward.
Wife: wow you’re too smart. Here is your quest reward.
