This is book 1 in the Willow Creek series by MacBride. Main characters are Harper and Logan. Harper is a strong, single mother who will do anything to protect her son. Logan is the local mechanic and Harper’s neighbor. The chemistry is instant but seems to have been fought for awhile but no more. Harper gives Logan mixed signals with the idea of keeping herself and her son safe but Logan can see right thru the walls she’s trying to put up and while he looks like a player he’s ready for his HEA. Will he be able to find it with Harper or will she leave and keep running from the danger that’s following her?
I thought this was a well written romance with good storyline flow. I thought there could have been more back story on Logan but Harper’s story was well delivered. The dual narration was perfect! Captivating from the start. Exciting, sweet with just a touch of heat. Overall enjoyed and would recommend.
