The opening chapter was a gripping vision of the climate crisis. Tragic and human and engaging…

Then endless pages about central banks and Zurich. While not completely uninteresting, the climate crisis seemed to end in India and be consumed with seemingly understandable acts of terrorism and endless bloviating of governments, apparently not suffering the effects of the dreaded Climate Changing.

The central bankers of various countries seemed to be suffering no effects of the ostensible climate crisis. Was the Indian Heat Wave the only crisis over the 10 years I read of the book? (I only made it halfway through…)

I feel like I’ve lived more of the climate crisis in the last two years than the book seemed to cover over 15.

But if you want to learn way too much about Switzerland, than this is your book!
