Great book. Great story. Jeff is a perfect narrator for this type of story. This is a dark book full of touching characters and horror. The horrors of War and the horrors out there in the cold of space. Waiting, watching, and ready to take life. People complain about the motivation of the aliens. But I feel it becomes clearer in this book. There are things older, ancient, and terrible in the abyss. Evil doesn’t need a reason to hate. It just does. We know also that the opposite of love is not hate. It’s fear. Fear to face evil, fear to face the evil within us. This book explores both if you consider it seriously.
Get this book but read book 1 first. It’s a must.
