The Unkind Hours is a book that grabs your attention from beginning to end. The story moves along with a pace that keeps your interest. While the plot of a missing child has been done many times, the author does this one with a twist that many a family member in such a situation has surely often thought of, but rarely acted upon. The plot twists in such a way that most readers will never see coming, and what a twist it is. You’ll have to read or listen to find out, as I won’t give it away. Tom Jordan does an excellent job in the narration, making the listener feel as if they are alongside the characters for every twist and turn. Tom Jordan has quickly become one of my favorite narrators. So much so, that now I often search for new books to listen to by narrator, rather than by author. Tom does not disappoint in The Unkind Hours.
