Young man and his dog story

This uses the magnetic storm as its framework but it is really more of a young man and his dog story. Lots of booze if that matters to you. The basic story is well woven and told. The narrator is skilled and enjoyable to listen to.

The main thing I really didn’t appreciate was the abrupt ending. It was a cliffhanger with no resolution. I don’t mind buying multiple books in a series but prefer a general ending of sorts, even if new challenges are shown/ hinted at for the next book. When a book ends so suddenly with no real feelings of a closure of that part, it makes me hesitant to buy the next. I doubt I will get the next even though I did like this one.
