The MC looses his whole family, the life he had, his home and community, then in just a few hours is happily laughing with people who just came out of their own very traumatic incident… Not laughing to relieve stress, happy laughing, borderline fliting.
Trained soldiers are useless until teenage gamer boy comes and tells them how to tie their shoes….
the narration is also a bit off-putting. Other reviews talk about how it’s a British VO for a story entirely in the US, but for me the sound effects they added into the background were more distracting.
Overall, there are a lot better LITRPG titles out there. More believable characters, better worlds, stronger plots.
