This is a great story and the production value of this recording is very good.
Normally, anything but the authors voice pulls focus from the story and my imagination. It must be very difficult to properly sound design an audiobook; after hundreds of listen’s, very few manage not to destroy the author’s work.
Who here has ever thought, “If you touch that effects processor one more time, I’m going to kill you?” But for this recording, I’d rather have their autograph.
Finally, in my humble opinion, the author did a wonderful job tying everything together. It is a fitting end to an epic adventure. I was left satisfied, a bit melancholy, and I can’t wait to find more books just like this one.
