So I grabbed this box set because it had a 5 star average, I like zombies, and it was super long.
Ended up hating it. Listened to the whole series despite hating it because I blew a credit on it and mama didn’t raise no quitter.
The characters are flat, the dialogue is… something. The zombie logic is inconsistent (the zombies *don’t* feel pain… except when the author decides it would be funny to grab one by the scrotum and have it react in pain).
The protagonist is irritating. He’s ostensibly an adult, but never seems to have emotionally progressed beyond the age of 14.
The narrator’s voice is nice, although he mispronounces things every few chapters.
Overall, this reads like a script treatment for a 28 Days Later reboot written and directed by Tommy Wiseau.
