This was such a great idea for a story! I love the characters and their slight development in such a quick story leading up to the series. And I am thrilled to get to jump into more of the Ember-Rane romance!!! I will say that there were a couple parts that really irritated me where Ember just seemed very stupid for a woman in med school and there are times she seems a little helpless for what I like for my heroines, But overall I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to start the rest of the series!!
Sarah Puckett knocked it out of the park yet again in this book! I love her voice and inflections!! Aaron Shedlock was stellar too! It is always great to get a strong duo in an audiobook!!
