The true start of what is one of the best fantasy series out there, in my humble opinion, so much growth, not just for our hero but also his partner in the path. Clashes minor and major happen, and the events to come are foreshadowed.
Truly a great book, and Travis Baldree continues his masterful work of narrating with aplomb and consistency.
