Hard to keep track of how our choices lead to unexpected consequences. The plot is filled with twists and turns that make it difficult to follow or anticipate where the story is going. There were to many characters who were introduced and then lost but there is a stream of supplemental characters introduced but in the background for future development. The first book was interesting with opportunities to make fit a very good tale.
