I have to say that Travis Baldree, is the best narrator I have heard on Audible. He has brought life to Wight’s characters such that, when I switch to reading the text, my own reading and the voice in my head now seem seem bland. This has never happened to me before – that I have preferred listening to the Audible version to reading the text myself. Baldree’s interpretation of each character and the way he’s able to shape the voices and tone to match the characters is superb. (I especially like the way he portrays Eithan and Dross, less so Yerin.)
I have greatly enjoyed this series. The characters are engaging and their development has kept me invested and ready to jump into the next book throughout, including the current book I am reading/listening to now, Underlord. I will be sad when I turn the last page and the series finally ends. And the narrator has made what is a wonderful series, even better.
