In a word, this book is a masterpiece. From the beautifully flawed characters to the brutal battles, this story took me on an emotional journey through love and loss in a fascinatingly magical world. ML Wang masterfully played my heart-strings like an expert musician – I laughed, I cried, I cringed, I melted. I lived with the characters and I cared about what happened to them. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the story, even through the scenes that were not traditional action. Basically, there is nothing I didn’t like about this book. I will definitely be enjoying this book again in all its formats, but Andrew Tell’s narration was absolutely brilliant and brought so much life to the story. Looking forward to revisiting this world and seeing what ML Wang creates in the future.
