Bill as a character annoyed me constantly throughout the book. He played both sides against each other to the point of very little of importance happening in the end. The story may as well have never occurred with the same net effect. I find that annoying, and don’t particularly look forward to this same cast of characters in the next installment (with some even being resurrected, undoing plot progress from the previous book). Some of them need to be eliminated to make progress in the plot.
