The horror genre has slipped into gore and pseudo science it seems. Steven King was able to take us to a regular place and terrify the senses. He used what we are accustomed to believe to show monsters are indeed under the bed and thank you, you don’t even need to see to know that.
Not since Mr King, with his Alfred Hitchcock approach, have stories such as in this book offered refreshing, original, and the terminal to normality. Lately the horror genres has indeed been swinging back to the Masters of Horror and a new writer maturity evident. I am very excited with these authors. Good job!
