Can’t see why this is so popular. It’s pure edge lord cringe that would be bad enough on its own. (literally every bullied boy etc trope is pulled out) But then to get an ancient man to narrate a prebubescent, whiny little boy was just the cherry on top that made me realize I’ve wasted a token.
Characters have no soul and only exist to be tropes for the MC to get revenge on, clumsy exposition, the list goes on. Didn’t even make it a third of the book. Truly atrocious. Seems more like self published Amazon fanfic than something a publisher actually touched.
Usually don’t even review books, but felt an obligation to drag this one because I felt lied to by all the glowing reviews.
