Good premise, poor story telling.

TL;DR – Good premise, poor story telling.

The premise of the story had potential but quickly start to see that the execution was rather bland. It took me a while to figure out why I didn’t like the story even though I like the voice actors.

– There was very little character development for the main character. Apparently he has a very difficult past? Who knows, it wasn’t explained very well.

– Characters in general were very bland.

– The magic/power system is so generic – which would be fine if the story was any good.

– There never was a sense of “mystery” you can deduce from a mile away what is going to happen.

– Too much plot armour
