Pacing on point. This story hangs suspense and consequence in a great balance with progression and character development. Piers Ryman nails every character to a unique fitting voice.
The story does a great job filling a universe with several different unique races, that for the most part, can’t even be in the same atmosphere of each other without personal life support. This is no cookie cutter sci-fi.
