I listen to audio books while working, but I still get immensely tired of extensive stat readouts. I wouldn’t usually mind but this series constantly repeats unaltered readouts or, more frequently, previously known information. I’m not fond of the full percentage readouts of the entire sheet when only particulars have changed. this is frustrating, especially since what those exposed percentages actually mean. what is 30% perception? does that mean you can only perceive 30% of what you see, or do you have a 30% chance of seeing anything at all? pretty sure it’s the latter with modifiers depending on what or who you’re trying to perceive INCLUDING both positive and negative modifiers. level difference seems to be a big influence on these modifiers. the biggest problem i find is that all these percentages that take so many minutes to list out seem absolutely arbitrary. in the end it’s the choice of the author what actually works. I grimace at the waste of time that the “full stats” provide.

all of that aside, I love the story. i haven’t come across a mix of both cultivation and system based empowerment gimmicks where they’re both entirely separate, and I can see how much effort the goddess put into this dude. I wonder what he’ll do once he realizes that pretty much everything from countless centuries before his birth were put into his creation, including the mystery surrounding his parents. pretty sure redhead goddess orchestrated that event for several reasons, one being motivation for our tall dark and… sour. another reason, you can bet they actually DID kill their party Stole the tyrium. given what the mC learned, it sounds like they’d make an incredible harvesting resource.
