I really enjoy Franklin Horton’s stories combined with Kevin Pierce’s performance. It’s a great combination. But if I’m honest, the calm in which Dan reacts to killings, especially his first in Boise, makes him seem sociopathic and not the grieving but otherwise normal widower the extensive exposition tries to make him out to be. My heart gives this book and intro into this series 5 stars. Realistically, that’s being very generous.
