Charlie is still hiding in the closet on the station (ranch), but the love he and Travis have just gets better and better. The plot of this story is just as interesting and engaging as in the first story, with some furry additions. That closet gets rather stuffy and causes a lot of conflict between Travis and Charlie. If you are looking for a deep story, with real hurdles and trials are conquered, look no further. This is a deeply personal story with two men trying to figure out life deep in the outback. Joel Leslie is phenomenal at portraying the rich characters Walker has put to pen. I always seem to melt into a soft squishy cocoon when listening to Leslie’s awesome accents. However, his use of dramatic storytelling, wielding emotions like a precision scalpel (voice, tone, pitch and timing) give the listener a fully immersive experience. SO worth the cost of an audiobook to have this one to re-listen to!
