The story was fun. Not something to write home about, but a good way to kill some time. The biggest thing that killed it for me was the narrator they chose. The narrator sounds like the guy doing the “In a world…” voice over for movie trailers. Super deep, resonant, smooth, and polished voice. The main character is supposed to be barely 18 and doesn’t have a clue. Total mismatch. Don’t get me wrong, the narrator was great. Just not for this book.
