I like the way the author injected the pandemic of 2020 into the storyline. Brings in a feeling of realism. The scramble for toilet paper, meat shortages when processing plants shutdown. As close to a SHTF as I want to get.
The humor he mixed in between the group of friends was great. The only humor you can have between friends without an ass whooping or “monkey stomping”. I especially liked Harry the six year old. Nothing more real then the bruit honesty of kids. They see and say how things are.
The narrator, Kevin Pierce, is by far one of the best if not the best. Kevin and Boyd make a good team. Great storyline and a great narrator is a must. They both knocked it out of the park.
