I really enjoyed this book as a light fun read. It had a cozy cottage murder mystery feel to it that keeps me entertained without making me feel stressed out. I also really enjoyed the characters, and especially the banter between the 2 main characters. As a longtime reader of sci-fi and fantasy, I find myself often annoyed with having accidentally purchased the newer paranormal romance novels that have been labeled as sci-fi and fantasy. The characters are annoying, irrational, and one dimensional tropes, and the writing mundane. I feel like this book fits the paranormal romance genre, but I found it entertaining and well written and the characters quite likable. I definitely want more of these two.
