a solid story pretty good, an entertaining listen if you enjoyed the first books you’ll enjoy this one too, but Jason continues to have the same issue that I objected you and every previous book with him.

simply put other characters attribute a lot of undue brilliance to him, he’s not a bad character he’s not stupid by any means, but his thoughts and actions are rather mundane and understandable for someone his age. for example pretty early in the book while interviewing someone he expresses angst towards his parents and basically says they need to earn his respect back, this is treated as some brilliant example of maturity for an 18 year old and it’s simply not it’s very bog-standard, and there is a lot of that, basically it’s constantly reinforcinf to you that Jason is so mature and deep thinking especially for his age, and that simply doesn’t hold up. I wouldn’t bother mentioning it if it wasn’t constantly reinforced throughout the book.

All in all a pretty minor thing and doesn’t stop me from enjoying the book but I mean it still sticks out like a sore thumb to me
