The book is well titled as the characters are, indeed, ruthless. However, that doesn’t keep you from engaging with them and wanting to see where the story goes. There is a full roster of characters, but it doesn’t get tedious keeping up with them as I had experienced in other books of this type and the narrator does a great job of voicing each one.
I’m excited to get started on Book 2!
