I loved this first book of the Elemental Fae Academy. It is my first encounter with both authors and I think they did an amazing job setting up this world.
When FMC Claire’s powers are awakened, she’s taken to the Fae realm to learn to master her new gifts. Her heritage however makes her public enemy number one and she’s heavily scrutinized. It’s up to her and her mentors to learn to control her magic and prove everyone she’s not the threat they assume she is.
Claire -understandably so- goes through a lot of emotions coping with the new revelations and the events surrounding them. This part of her character development is handled pretty realistic. She struggles to adapt to a new world and new habits plus controling a set of powers that is able to cause massive destruction. Despite all that she is curious, kind and willing to learn.
I also really love the magic system and the way the relationships are forming between the characters. The connection she forms with Exos and Titus is amazing.
I can’t wait to see more of them!
