I liked that there was four books in this series. The extra book gave for a bit more follow through with the main plot line, but sadly gave more time for more good guys to die.
I love that Goodwin always remembers to bring Godly principles into the frame with the main characters and still shows how easy it is to fall into temptation and to hear the lies that Satan feeds us all. There is enough real world concepts that everyone can hear the whisper of what we fall prey to during our daily walks in life.
I will inevitably give away too much if I try to do a summary, but these few books are packed with lots of action, but equally with heartbreak. Where there is no freedom, Americans must stand up with arms to fight away the tyrants of which our culture is full. We are selfish and spoiled in our current freedoms because we are so long separated from war on our shores. But if Goodwin does not make it clear to every reader that we are just before the dawn of war within our own country, then you have allowed evil to close your hears with the thumping of rage that cannot be quelled. Prepare yourself and your loved ones—there can be no other way to survive what humans can unleash upon each other.
