I couldn’t put my finger on it for the 1st 2 books. it hit me now, it’s the Game. it sucks. the way the game is sounds completely boring. not something I’d really play. that paired with the stupid time dilation and the uninteresting characters and the RANDOM stupid sound effects gives this trilogy a 2
